 Malone and Jesse adopted one daughter named Felecia (whereabouts unknown). 

Jesse was a physical education teacher in the Birmingham area. She also served as a member of the World War II Army Corps. Jesse was educated at Alabama State University, B.S. and at Columbia University, NY where she achieved a Master of Art degree. Aunt Jesse was a prolific swimming teacher and taught hundreds of people to swim, including Cuz David Banks.

 Malone Woods retired from the postal service in Birmingham, Al. He went blind late in life and was cared for by Jesse's brother Charlie and his family for whom we are eternally grateful.
