The woods family of Thomasville, Alabama have always been enterprising. They owned a sawmill, a "grits" mill and a general store that also served as the area post office. From four off-springs the family has grown to over 300 descendants.
As descendants of John Barney and Mary Ann - we are very proud of the Woods roots, our heritage and the godly example that they set for us to follow. In their memory, we lovingly pass their legacy on to the next generation, so please accept it with honor and pride, and never forget where you came from.
